BJ Stagner pastored for twelve years in Middle Tennessee before surrendering to church planting in South Wales, where he and his family have now served since 2014. The Lord has allowed them to plant two churches, both of which BJ currently pastors. He is in the process of training men for ministry, one of whom is presently serving as an assistant. In addition, they have a Missionary Internship Program consisting of a one-year training programme personally designed to prepare men and their families for ministering on the foreign field. It includes aspects such as acclimation, interjection, investing, and being involved in the community the Lord has called them to serve.

The ministry is multifaceted, including street evangelism, door-to-door outreach, Bible teaching in the local primary school, gym chaplaincy, and HELP Ministries UK/Ireland, where they assist national pastors in their labours. It is a joy for BJ to serve the Lord in this part of the world, and he is grateful for the opportunity to share His work.
One Church, Two Locations: Calvary Baptist Churches of the Cynon Valley and Cardiff
CYNON VALLEY
Calvary Baptist Church of the Cynon Valley was planted in November 2014 by our Pastor, B.J. Stagner.

Calvary Baptist Church – Cynon Valley offers services for all ages, with Sunday School at 11AM alongside our normal worship service. We have Wednesday evening Bible studies and prayer meeting at 6:30pm.
CARDIFF
Calvary Baptist Church of Cardiff was planted in September 2016 by Pastor B.J. Stagner.

Meeting in The Maes-y-Coed Community Centre, Calvary Baptist currently meets for service on Sundays at 1755 and is located at 1 Jubilee Gardens, Cardiff CF14 4PP.

BJ Stagner is deeply committed to investing in the next generation through his work in the School Ministry. As a dedicated school governor, he actively supports the leadership, wellbeing, and educational development of the school community.
In addition to his governor role, BJ leads bi-weekly assemblies, where he shares the Word of God with the children. These assemblies are designed to inspire, educate, and encourage young hearts, helping students understand biblical truths and how they relate to everyday life.
