2 Corinthians 4:8–10 -
“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”

When Darkness Closes In...

Life sometimes feels like it’s closing in on every side. The weight of the world sits heavy. The heart sinks. Depression whispers, “It will always be this way.” But God speaks louder: “You are cast down, but not destroyed.”

This passage reminds us that hardship is real, but it doesn’t have to define us. Paul knew the pain of pressure, confusion, persecution, and rejection—yet he held onto hope because Christ was alive in him.

Don’t Make a Permanent Decision in a Temporary Storm.
Your darkest night is not the end of your story. Don’t quit in the valley. Don’t build a life around your low moment. God is still working through you. Jesus didn’t rise from the tomb to leave you buried in your sorrow.

The same Jesus who suffered and rose again is alive in you.
He turns despair into direction.
He trades your ashes for beauty.
He lifts the broken and gives purpose to the pain.

Don’t let your feelings have the final word.
Victory is already written into the end of your chapter—because Jesus lives.

Hold the line. Hope in Him. Your trouble is not your tombstone.
